Privacy Policy

What stays on your Mac. The list of apps and windows, window titles and window thumbnails that Saltabo uses to show the switcher and Dock previews are processed on your Mac and are never uploaded. The Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions are used only for this. Your settings are stored locally.

No analytics. The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.

Trial and license checks. To start your free trial and to activate and periodically verify a license, the app contacts our license server at api.saltabo.app and sends:

• a random device ID created on your Mac;
• a salted, one-way hash of your Mac's hardware ID, so a trial can't be reset by reinstalling;
• your Mac's name, processor architecture, macOS version and app version;
• your license key, when you enter one.

We use this only to manage trials, license activations and the number of Macs per license. Your license key is stored in your Mac's Keychain.

Updates. The app checks for updates at saltabo.github.io and downloads them from GitHub. Like any web request, GitHub sees your IP address.

Feedback and bug reports. These open your email app or a GitHub issue. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself.

Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes your payment details; we never see your card. We receive your name, email address, order details and license key so we can deliver your license and help with support. See Polar's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

• Hosting. saltabo.app is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs such as IP address and browser type.
• Google Analytics loads only if you choose “Allow” in the cookie banner. It measures page visits and sets Google Analytics cookies. If you decline, it never loads. Your choice is saved in your browser; clear this site's data to be asked again.
• Fonts. Text fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when you open the site.
• Download page. Your browser asks GitHub for the latest release so we can show the right download link.

You can ask us to delete your trial and license records, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing admin@saltabo.app. Deleting license records deactivates the license on your Macs.
